Protractor Concepts in a little more depth

These Guided Tours will introduce you to the major Protractor concepts in a little more depth. Each tour covers one Protractor topic, and each topic builds on concepts covered in previous topics. Therefore, your first time through, you should consider viewing the tours in the order they are presented.

The tours are self-running, narrated Flash^® tours. You will require a fast Internet connection, a computer equipped with a sound system, and a screen resolution of at least 1024x768.

Accounting (Approximate Tour Time: 8 min.)

This tour demonstrates the power of a real time, automotive industry specific, integrated accounting system. Protractor can save vast amounts of time while managing industry specific accounting challenges that general accounting systems are not designed to do.

Accounts Receivable (Approximate Tour Time: 11 min.)

This tour will demonstrate how accounts are established and accessed. It will also demonstrate the receivable account management features, how to apply service charges and prepare statements.

Accounts Payable (Approximate Tour Time: 10 min.)

This tour will demonstrate Protractor's main accounts payable features including making payments, entering bills, applying payment terms and recalling transaction details.

Daily Tasks & Cash Drawer (Approximate Tour Time: 8 min.)

This tour will explore typical day end procedures to follow using Protractor's cash drawer balancing and reports.

Payroll (Approximate Tour Time: 10 min.)

This tour will demonstrate setting up the payroll system, preparing payroll, payroll advances, payroll remittances and payroll reporting.

Bank Accounts (Approximate Tour Time: 10 min.)

This tour will discuss setting up bank accounts, check writing, check printing, bank account management and reconcilliation.

General Ledger (Approximate Tour Time: 13 min.)

This tour will provide an overview of Protractor's General Ledger by discussing the general ledger manager, setting up accounts, retrieving information, marking entries, and running standard financial reports.
