Implementing Your Company Structure

Click the Enterprise shortcut category.
Click the Enterprise Manager shortcut.
Alternatively choose View | Enterprise Manager.

Company Structure Icons

Below are the icons used consistently throughout the software to indicate elements of your Company Structure.

Notice the Enterprise Head Office node (North Star Auto Service Inc.) is highlighted. Lower in the hierarchy, there are two Divisions, Canadian HQ, and US HQ. Under each Division are some business Locations. You use this tree-view to maintain your Company Structure.

CAUTION: Business Locations may be owned by either a Division OR an Enterprise. Notice in the picture above that Mexico is a business Location owned by the Enterprise Head Office NOT another Division.

Select the Enterprise (top) node.
Click Update. The Contact tab of the Update Enterprise window is displayed.
Use the Contact Card editing tools to update the record.

Select the Enterprise (top) node.
Click Add | New Division. The Contact tab of the New Division window is displayed.
Use the Contact Card editing tools to add the new record.

Select the Division node you need to update.
Click Update. The Contact tab of the Update Enterprise window is displayed.
Use the Contact Card editing tools to update the record.

Select the appropriate Division node in the treeview.
Click Add | New Location. The Contact tab of the New Location window is displayed.
Use the Contact Card editing tools to add the new record.

Select the Enterprise Head Office (top) node in the treeview.
Click Add | New Location. The Contact tab of the New Location window is displayed.
Use the Contact Card editing tools to add the new record.

Change your workstation to the Business Location you need to update (see Changing Business Locations)
Open the Location Manager.
Select the Location (top) node.
Click Update. The Contact tab of the Update Location window is displayed.
Use the Contact Card editing tools to update the record.

IMPORTANT: If you plan on implementing Enterprise Accounts Receivable and Payable you must create and designate a Location as the head office on it's contact card. This location will not have point of sale capabilities but will able to consolidate receivables and payables.
