Pinpoint Inspections are detailed inspection lists for technicians. These inspection lists are used as a checklist by technicians when inspecting specific (or pinpoint) repair areas.
Pinpoint inspections may be printed for the technician with the technician work sheet.
To set your pin-point inspections to conform to MAP standards, set your location default settings to R-S.
For MAP, technicians will report the inspection results to the Service Advisor using the following codes:
O - OK
R - Required
S - Suggested
Technicians will report the inspection results to the Service Advisor using the following codes:
O - OK
A - Advise
R - Recommend
S - Safety / Severe
Technicians should add comments to any items reported with a status other than OK.
Service Advisors may add any items listed with a status other than OK to the work order as needing an estimate. The customer must then accept or decline the recommended repair.
A default price may be applied to each inspection using the Labor tab.
Inspection results are saved when the Invoice is posted, as part of the service history for the vehicle.

The Headings allow your to organize your Pinpoint Inspections into sections. There is no limit to the size of Pinpoint Inspections.
