There are two ways to apply discounts to Service Packages:
by applying a discount to an individual labor or material line item using the discount tab on the update labor or material line dialogs (as described in previous topics), or
by applying discounts to all labor and/or material line items using the Discount SP tool and the Discount Service Package dialog.
IMPORTANT: Discounts applied using the Discount SP tool will not automatically be applied to labor or material lines added after the discount is applied - its simply a tool to discount an existing Service Package. So always apply your discounts last! Note that there is no way to apply a discount to a Service Package supply line item, because supply items are not sold for profit.
Enter the discount percent desired on all labor lines.
Check the Discount all Labor Lines checkbox.
Enter the discount percent desired on all parts lines.
Check the Discount all Parts Lines checkbox.
Check the Auto Build Description checkbox (if you want to).
Edit the Discount Description to make it read exactly as you want it to.
Click the Apply tool and answer the confirmation message box to see how the discount will look on your Service Package, or
Click the Save tool and answer the confirmation message box to apply the discount.

Be certain to use the Spell Check tool to check the Description of your Discount.
Choose Cancel to close the dialog without applying your changes.
Choose Apply temporarily see how your discount will affect the look of the Service Package without saving the change or closing the dialog.
Choose Save to apply your discount and close the dialog.
