Available Hours

To access available hours click on Tools | Location | Available Hours.

Tool Bar Buttons

View - The technician view allows you to view/edit a technician's two week interval of available time. The overall view allows you to view or edit the available time for individual days for the shop.

Edit - Allows you to edit the available hours for the current selection. You may also double click on the selection directly.

Date - Allows to specify a specific date to select. You can also click on a day to select it.

Refresh - Refreshes the view.

Close - Exit the available hours dialog.

Technician View (Default)

Select a technician from the drop down list. The default hours available will be displayed from Monday through Sunday.

Default Hours

The default hours box displays week 1 and week 2 available times for the selected technician. The principle is to set a default rotation for two separate weeks that will repeat or alternate on a biweekly basis. This may accommodate for shops that are open non standard business hours and technicians may work different hours on alternate weeks. The week numbers will be displayed down the left column of the calendar for your convenience.

Set the start time and end time for each day to populate the calendar with the available hours for the chosen technician.

Keep in mind that lunch hours are not included. If you wish to have a technician available for 8 hours with a 1 hour lunch then you would set a start time of 8:00 and an end time of 16:00.

Making Exceptions

  1. Using the date button on the toolbar or the scroll button on the calendar, navigate to the date you wish to make an exception.

  2. Double click on the day to open the technician available hours dialog for that single day.

  3. Change the start and end time as required.

Overall View

The overall view allows you to scroll and choose a date you wish to edit.

  1. Double click on the day to open the overall available hours dialog.

  2. A list of the technicians is presented to you and you can set the start and end time for that date.

  3. You can also set the time back to the default setting by clicking the word default beside the technician's time.

  4. Click Apply to save your changes.
