The Prepare Bank Deposit function in the software allows for the deposit of any funds processed during a Cash Balance to the corresponding bank accounts.
To access Prepare Bank Deposit
The Prepare Bank Deposit Dialog displays the totals of each method of payment. It also displays the totals to be deposited, retained and the bank account the funds are to be deposited to.
Save - Processes the deposit as shown on the summary screen.
Deposit Slip - Displays the details of the highlighted method of payment. Allows for entering in adjustments and retaining funds from the amount to be deposited. You can also specify the bank account for the deposit.
Undo - Reverses all changes made since the dialog was opened.
Print - Provides a printed bank deposit through the standard print options.
Cancel - Exits the dialog without saving changes.
Select the Date that the deposit will be recorded.
Double click any method of payment to modify the deposit slip details. In the details dialog, enter any adjustments, amounts to be retained, and the bank account.
Print the Bank Deposit.
Click on Save to process the deposit.
Each method of payment has a deposit slip details dialog that allows you to enter an amount to be retained and specify the bank account in which to deposit the funds. Any amounts retained become the balance forward amount for that method of payment in the cash drawer. A good example of this would be retaining a cash float.
