Enterprise Inventory Price Levels

Every inventory item has a base cost and a base selling price. However, you may require more than one pricing level to represent different price points. It may be special pricing for specific customer types, wholesale or even employee pricing. Whatever reason you wish to establish different price points know that there are no limits. You can define as many levels as you require. Once you have established your pricing levels, you can set customers to purchase at a specific level and you can also set items on service packages to sell at a specific level.

Accessing Inventory Price Levels

Add / Edit a Price Level

Access the Inventory Price Levels using the instructions above.
To Add a new price level, click the Add button in the Action group on the Ribbon.
To Edit an existing price level, select the price level from the list and then click the Edit button in the Action group on the Ribbon.
The Price Level dialog opens:
- Code - The short label for the price level. Typically, we see letters or numbers as codes. For instance, A, B, C, D, or 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. This allows for an intuitive hierarchy in the levels and it easily sortable. If you wish to have the pricing levels at the location be updated then the code at the enterprise and location need to match.
- Name - The full name you wish to give the level. For example, Retail, Fleet, Wholesale, etc.
- Click OK to save.

Change the List Order

To change the list order use the drag and drop technique
Click the Save command button in the Search group on the Ribbon.

Delete a Pricing Level

Access the existing price levels as instructed above.
Click on the Pricing Level you wish to delete
Click the Delete command button in the Action group on the Ribbon
Click Yes to delete the price level.

Fixed Pricing

Further to pre-defined pricing levels, any material line item within a concern, inspection or service package can be set to a fixed rate or total. Fixed material pricing will override any predefined pricing levels described above. As a result, it is only recommended they be used when necessary as any changes to your established pricing levels will not automatically update any material line items that use fixed pricing.
