Downloading and Installing Software Updates

The software has full version updates and then will frequently have revision updates within the same version until the next full version is released. An example of a full version update would be to go from version 4.1.7 to version 4.1.8. An example of a revision update would be to got from version 4.1.7 Revision A to 4.1.7 Revision B.

Full version updates need to be scheduled with Support because your database and client need to be on the same version. If your database is on version 4.1.7 and you install version 4.1.8 on your computer you will not be able to access your database. They both need to be on the same version. However, this is not the case with revisions. You do not need to schedule revision updates with support. If you are on revision A of 4.18 and version 4.1.8 revision B is release you can update at your leisure.
