Contact Card Tools

Each contact card has a Tools menu item. The tools menu allows you to change the contact type, merge contacts, edit their loyalty point cards, and swipe a driver's license card.

Using this tool you can change a home contact to a business contact and vice versa. You an also change a location contact to an enterprise contact and vice versa. The ability to change a contact type is context sensitive. If the contact is a home contact and you access the tools menu, it will provide the option to change it to a business contact. The reverse is also true. This also applies to location and enterprise contacts.

Update the contact.
Click on the Tools menu.
Choose the appropriate change tool to change the contact to the desired type.

Update the contact you wish to have deleted after the merge is complete.
Click on Tools and then click on Merge.
Search for the target contact. After the merge, the target contact will be kept and the current contact will be deleted.
Options: if the contact is an employee or supplier, check the boxes before proceeding. The supplier option will merge all purchase information and payables.
Click Apply.
Click Yes to proceed or No to cancel. This action can not be undone.

Points Cards

The software has the ability to track and report points cards. Currently, the software can track and report Futura, Aeroplan, CAA, and AAA point cards. Futura and Aeroplan point cards are automatically submitted electronically so you do not have to manually report points given to your customers. If you require this feature, please contact your representative as there are configurations required outside of the software.

Swipe Card - Opens a dialog that allows you to add a card by swiping it with a magnetic card reader.

Add - Allows you to add a card. Note that some cards can't be added manually and require to be swiped.

Cancel - Closes the dialog and provides the option to cancel and changes you have made.

The card at the top of the list is given priority and will be the one used to award this contact on their purchases.
