Authoring Service Packages

• Choose Cancel to close the dialog without saving your changes.

• Choose Discount SP to apply a discount to this Service Package using various discount tools described in the Discounts on Service Packages topic.

• Choose Print to print or print preview the Service Package.

• Choose Remove to remove the highlighted Service Package line item. (Note that you may not remove a Service Package's Header.)

• Choose Insert to insert a new Labor, Materials, Supply or Footer line. (Note that a Service Package may only have one Footer.)

• Choose Update to update the highlighted line item.

• Choose Save to save your changes to the Service Package and close the dialog.

The tools used to insert and update each line item type are documented in the following topics.

• On the Format tab, use the Display Line Totals checkbox to turn all line totals on or off.

• On the Analysis tab you may view the total effect of discounts applied to this Service Package.

1. Open the Enterprise (Franchise or Setup) Manager.

2. Drill down to display the master profit center and master service category where the new Service Package Template will be located.

3. Double-click the Service Package Templates folder to display all service package templates.

4. Choose Add | New Service Package.

2. Drill down to display the master profit center and master service category where the Service Package Template is located.

3. Double-click the Service Package Templates folder to display all service package templates.

4. Double click the Service Package name to open in the Service Package editor.

5. Use the Service Package editor's tool to update it.

Update Service Package Template Tour

1. Open the Enterprise (Franchise or Setup) Manager.

2. Drill down to display the master profit center and master service category where the Service Package Template is located.

3. Double-click the Service Package Templates folder to display all service package templates.

4. Click on the Service Package Template you wish to delete.

5. Click Delete.

6. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Note: You can not delete a service package template that is in use in any of the locations.

Delete Service Package Template Tour

1. Open the Location Manager.

2. Drill down to display the profit center and service category where the service package is located.

3. Double-click the Service Packages folder to display all service packages.

4. Click Add | Service Package Template and then choose the template you want to copy or select Copy All to copy all templates to the location.

5. When prompted, confirm that you want to create a new package based on the selected template.

6. Edit (update) the new template as required.

Tip: You may add a service package template multiple times to the location and edit the title as required. This allows you to have multiple location service packages linked to the same template. When the template package is used on a maintenance plan, any of the packages created from that template will satisfy the maintenance plan.

3. Double-click the Service Packages folder to display all service packages.

4. Choose Add | New Service Package.

Service packages that are unique to the location will not be available on maintenance plans.

4. Double click the Service Package name to open in the Service Package editor.
