To Access Payroll Liability Remittance

The payroll liability remittance dialog calculates and displays the remittance amounts automatically. Once all fields are ready, click Save to process the remittance.

Location - Choose the location you are remitting for. If you are logged into the enterprise head office, you may remit on behalf of other locations. To balance the transaction, account 1355 - Payments from Other Locations is used. If payroll was entered in head office location then all liabilities will be remitted from that location.

Remittance Due Date - Is the date the remittance is due to be remitted.

Reporting Period - Is the date range to include for the remittance period.

Total Payroll - Is the total gross pay for the selected period.

Liability - Each user defined payroll liability will be listed in this column. Check the box if the liability is to be included in the remittance.

Note: There may be times when you may not want to include a liability account in the remittance. For example, if you deduct amounts from employees for uniforms it is used to recoup the expense and not remit to a government agency.

Employee - The total contribution from the employees for each liability.

Employer - The total contribution from the employer for each liability.

Adjustment - The total of any adjustments made to each payroll liability account using the GL Adjustment Tool.

Total Remittance - The total to be remitted.

Bank Account - The bank account the check will be written from.

Click Save to process the payment. You will be prompted if you would like to print a copy of the remittance for your records.
