Materials Sales

The materials sales report provides sales and profit analysis for material items. The report is broken out by service category or sales department and provides quantities sold, dollars sold, and profit on sales.

Report Parameters

Description - Allows you to only include material items that contain your specified text in the description.

Whole Word Only - Specify to match whole words only for the description given above.

Part Number - Allows you to only include material items containing your specified text in the part number field.

Manufacturer - Allows you to only include material items containing your specified text in the manufacturer field.

Size - Allows you to only include material items containing your specified text in the size field.

Code - Allows you to include material items that you have coded to your custom coding scheme.

Type - Allows you to choose wether to include consignment, stocking materials, or all items.

Begin Date - Allows you to specify the start date.

End Date - Allows you to specify the ending date.

Location - Allows you specify the location to be reported.

Service Cat - Allows you to specify the service category or sales department to be reported.

Include Details - When checked, the invoice detail will be provided for each material item.

Report Detail

Name - Provides the location name, service category name, sales department name, material description, part number, and invoice detail if specified in the report parameters.

Qty - The quantity sold in the time frame specified.

Cost - The cost of the material items sold.

Total - The total sales dollars for the material items sold before any discounts.

Discount - The total discount given for the material items sold.

Total Billed - The total dollars billed for the material items after discounts.

GP$ - The total gross profit dollars.

GP% - The total gross profit percentage.

Name - The name of the contact the item was sold to.

Plate - The plate number of the vehicle the item was sold to.

Tracking Warranty: The material sales report is a powerful tool to track warranty. Because it combines all material items sold from a supplier and inventory you get the complete story. If you place the word warranty in the description of every part sold under warranty and enter the word warranty in the description parameter of this report, you will be able to identify what parts are being warranted and how often over any period of time.
