If you have not already done so, you should view the Contacts Management Tours (Parts 1 and 2), before reading the information in this chapter.
With traditional management software, you manage separate lists of customers, suppliers, and employees. But with the software, you manage only one list of contacts. Each contact may have any number of relationships with your business. For instance, one employee is also a customer when he buys parts. And many service businesses maintain both a customer and a supplier relationship with other local businesses. A good example is an auto repair shop that maintains vehicles for a towing service they use.
Your company's Contacts list is one of your most valuable business assets. Using the software's powerful contact management tools, you can exploit your Contacts list to grow your business.
Software contacts, their vehicles, their fleets of vehicles, and their accounts, both payable and receivable, can be managed using the Contacts Manager.
Individual software contact records are maintained on Contact Cards.
Individual software vehicle records are maintained on Vehicle Cards.
Any contact may own vehicles or fleets of vehicles. Larger fleets may be organized into contact sites.
